Background: Before being born, Fay caused misfortune to fall onto the world where ever her mother was walking. Karadia, being a theocracy, deemed that the baby inside her was cursed and must be removed from their country before misfortune befalls the country. Since their religion condemns killings, they decided to lock the baby away in a tower where she would never hurt anyone. After she was born, as she was being carried to the tower in a baby basket by horseback, it started raining and the road became muddy. Coincidentally, the horse slipped causing the rider to fall and the baby basket fell into a raging river with her in it. The rider not wanting to risk dying by diving in to get her, decided to just say bandits attacked him and killed her because his clothes were muddied. By pure chance, Fay survived the raging rapids and flowed out to sea where the currents coincidentally led straight to the Undine Islands where she landed on the beach. A surprisingly nice couple on beach that heard her crying and decided to take her in and thus starting her life on the island.
