Background: Noir Avis has know idea where he is from or what he was before he washed up on the shore of largest island of the South Wind Islands, Undine Island, when he was ten years old. Maya and Judas Avis gave him a new name and cared for him as though he were their own. The teenager never seemed to fit in with the other students at South Wind Academy, mostly because the other students were either natives of the South Wind Islands or nobles from other countries across the sea. It's for that reason that he often ditches school and lays under a tree in the plaza staring into the sky.
